Pics would be fantastic. None the less, if they have hit your roof already, not sure what you can do as they will probably double in size again.

Me either. Indoors is about controlling the environment and autos are anything but controlled. It can be extremely close though so I would say that the seeds you're growing aren't from the original f1 generation. Did you make the seeds yourself from ones you previously bought? If they were bought from a store I would complain to them as they've sold you a shitty product and you might get some freebies but if you made them yourself they would be f2s and as that generation throws out every trait the genetic potential will allow for it would explain your situation perfectly.

Dude, don't tell me to shut the fuck up, we have got a guy here with his plants about to hit his roof, auto or not auto, shit needs to be controlled or he wont get any bud at all.

You need to respect other members opinions here Buzzo, and stop interpreting them as fact when they are merely trying to pass their opinion to someone who needs help. Hi Ausgoty, if they are not auto flowering they are not auto flowering plants simple. If you can't give them more room to flower though you will have to cut them back first as Cyclone sugested. If you got them from a seed bank as auto flowering seeds it might be worth contacting them.

I'm sick of pollen chuckers who call themselves breeders when they want to start telling other members to "shut the fuck up". Get over yourself. You self apointed yourself as the "auto king" but you seem to know sfa about breeding realy. Where did you come up with your ratios of autos in different F generations you listed? Because they are wrong. When you say the pheno is stable are you saying the seeds will all grow the same single pheno? I Support.

Pages 1 2 3 Next.A seedling is a young plant or rather that plants growth stage. This growth stage is every naturally grown plants first life cycle and it is also the most fragile and the most dangerous of them all. In general their life cycle starts when the seed cracks open and ends as soon as the first true leafs appear. Basically a seedling is a plant embryo that sits in a protective layer the SEED Shell and start growing when moisture penetrates that protective player.

After that initial seed cracking that young plant tries to find sunlight by growing upside down from where the gravity is pulling the seed.

Stupid autoflowering won't flower

This happens because seeds are usually found under ground or under leafs or other material and to get light and in that sense power to grow this plant tries to find its way upward. Seedling at this point grows completely on the power that is stored in the seed because it is not photosynthesizing yet and so there is no energy production. When that little plant reaches trough the ground and finds light the process of leaf opening is started. As soon as those seed-leafs are opened the plant starts photosynthesizing and its true life has started!

Autoflower seedlings just like regular cannabis and other plant seedlings have those seed-leafs and cannabis plants differ from other plants like grass and pine species because they have two seed-leafs dicotyledons. These seed leafs are usually a bit bigger than other specie seed-leafs and if you have seen a lot of plant seedlings you can distinguish cannabis youngsters from other plants. But in general they look like any other seedling and up till the first or second true leafs appear there is little evidence that this young plants is actually from the cannabis genus.

Cannabis at this growth stage grows slowly and focuses most of the energy to root growth in order to cover more ground in search for nutrients and also to stabilize itself in the ground. Basically anything that this young plant does is there because it is programmed to survive and that is why you should be careful not to damage this delicate plant. The watering should be regular but they must not dampen the growing medium too much as too wet soggy growing environment increases mold and other bacteria risk but in general you must water more frequent at this stage of growth but also give relatively small amount of water.

Cannabis seedlings can grow in almost any light schedule but light schedule as well as intensity and color can affect how fast you seedling develops.

In general it is really hard to measure any actual changes in plants if you give them 1 hour less light or keep them in a bit colder than average room only while they are at their seedling phase but thinking about the factors that are involved in that young plants growth we can deduct that:.

So when we make some fictional calculations we can see the difference! Imagine that each cell that can photosynthesize can produce 1 unit of energy and a new cell needs 60 units of energy to develop and all new cells grow at the end of the day and also every minute one cell produces this one unit of energy.

In this experiment it means that every hour of light can produce one new cell from one cell. And at this, my make shift experiment, the difference between the 12 and 24 hour light cycle is significant and the 12 hours cell count is just 0.

This experiment is in no way scientifically correct but is just a way to show how much better it is for a seedling to get more light and you must provide the best environmental conditions that you can or your total yield can greatly diminish. A humidity dome is a device that lets you increase the humidity of a particular area of your grow room by enclosing it in see-trough plastic and not letting in any outside air.

These domes help with humidity and also temperature control and not many growers use them for seedlings but they should, because, in them you can easily increase or decrease that humidity percentage, and you just have a greater overall control of that grow environment!

This thread was a nice read. S is my way of doing things. It was good to read that my growing method is what we need to do.Peoples interest about autoflowering cannabis plants and how to grow them have been exploding in the recent years and will continue to grow more and more as new and even more potent and powerful autoflower plants reach the seed market.

I have been creating articles about auto flower growing for the past two years and now I want to post a complete autoflower grow guide with a bit of information about each subject with a link to the more detailed article.

There is a complete answer on the homepagebut in short autoflowers are smallstealthy, they grow fastproduce big yieldshave amazing mold, pest and insect resistance and as an added bonus can flower under any light cycle. These all are amazing possibilities every grower should see and think about but the main autoflower grower group are the newcomers as these plants are really easy to grow and can be a great starting point for those who want to cultivate their own weed!

These strains were created with countless breeding cycles to get rid of the dwarf traits and get a truly high yielding autoflower plant.

This ratio is good for seed creators and autoflower breeders but not good for the regular growers as we need just the females. Autoflowers are in no way worse than the regular cannabis when it comes to hermaphrodites but sometime they will come and you generally want to stay away from them unless you want to create female seeds as a female plant that shows some male pollen sacs is the way to create feminized seeds.

Autoflowers can be grown indoors and outdoors and both places have their advantages, but it basically is up to you to decide the best growing environment. Here are some advantages to indoor and outdoor growing:.

You can grow them in the vegging room where regular photo-sensitive plants are growing. They can grow in any time of the year if the temperature is not below 10 to 15 degrees Celsius.

Before growing these autoflowering plants you need to get some seeds because these plants are pointless to clone as I explained here. So, when you want to start growing an autoflower plant you will have a broad choice of seeds and strains. You also need to think whether you want Feminized seeds or Regular ones as Feminized seeds are pricier but they will give you all females whereas the Regular Ones will give you a chance of Males and Females.

If you have a small grow room then you need to get the smaller Indica autoflowers but if you want a taller one for outdoor or indoor grow operation then the Sativa dominant autoflowers will be good for you.

You can grow autoflowers in soil, soilless mix or hydroponically but for the purpose of this guide I will just give a small introduction on soil growing.

Basically there are two types of growing mediums: With and Without nutrients. If you want to learn more about autoflower growing in soil then visit this page. Like any other plant watering cannabis is necessary because water is the lifeblood of the plant and all the nutrients dissolve in water so then your plant can absorb them. Remaining unused water is evaporated through the leafs in the photosynthesis process and that evaporation is how these plats keep themselves cool even in the hottest of summers.

Each growth stage of the plants life requires a different approach to watering. In the vegetative and flowering phases you need to supply a lot of water as these plants will use up quite a bit of this stuff.

In the germination and seedling phase you need to add a little bit of water with a hand myster or pour it directly around the plant.

A cup of water should be enough and for the first days even a cup will be too much. As for the timing, you need to check the soil humidity with a soil humidity meter or by just checking it with fingers. If it is dry then it is time to water. In the vegetative and flowering stages you will typically need to water once every two days but it all depends on the temperature and pot size.

A good way to know how much and when to water is this: if the pot feels light then water it until there is a little runoff water at the bottom of the pot, then let your plant grow and use up all that water till your pot feels light again. Signs of under watering is wilting and weak stems but overwatering can express itself as a yellowing of leaf tips and it is the most common autoflower growers mistake.

A complete article on watering can be found here!

Cannabis plants need nutrients to grow and produce leaves, stems, buds and even seeds, and without nutrients your autoflowering plants will die but with too little nutrients they will struggle to grow and will be pale, with small leaves and almost no yield. From the other side too much nutrients will stress your plant by producing nutrient burn and a severe case of this nutrient overdose can also cause plants death.

There are also some secondary nutrients and trace elements but almost all of the pre-mixed soils and fertilizers have those needed elements.Forums New posts Search forums. Media New media New comments Search media. Log in Register. Search titles only.

plants really slow flowering

Joined Dec 3, Messages 10 Reaction score 8 Points 0. Hey everybody I was wondering if somebody can tell me if my seedlings are growing at a normal pace and if they loo good. I planted them on the 30 of november and they sprouted on the 4 of december Last edited: Dec 15, Looks fine, temps? Low 70s temps will slow them a bit. First couple weeks they are mostly building root structure, so it looks a little slow when it's really not.

Arthur said:. MrOldBoy Auto Warrior. Autobudz said:. You're plants appear fine at this point. Been growing the little ones 14 years and "yes" they are "little ones" I still take a pic every two days just to confirm growth and let the plant tell me their needs. But then they'll bust loose and surprise ya with next months entertainment.

I've found cold weather definitely slows growth at all stages, even though my tent temps are ok.LST or Low stress training light stress training is a way to grow your autoflower plants and maximize their output yield while simultaneously decreasing the vertical space required to grow and maximizing light usage.

Usually Autoflowering cannabis produces one main cola at the very top of the plant, all the side branches have weak light penetration and they stay small, producing small flowers. There are also some autos that can produce one big cola and almost no flowers and resin on side branches.

Cannabis plants are made to produce as much branches and leafage as they can and their main goal is to create more flowers that can collect pollen and produce seeds. Flowers are usually created at the tops of the main shoots and the largest amount of flowers are at the main cola that stretches towards sun to make the most out of all the sunlight it can get.

In nature Autoflowering plants are made to produce one large bud with some smaller buds along the sides. Because the main steam is the one who gets the most sun it will produce the most amount of flowers that can potentially produce seeds and these seeds will reproduce new ganja plants in the next year. All this process is driven by cannabis hormones called auxins. These Auxins can be found throughout the entire plant but the biggest amount is at the top of the main shoot that is the closest to the light source.

Auxins are there because they help cannabis plants to grow and where the most auxins are the most vigorous growth happens.

Easyuo skills

So if you train your main shoot down and it is at the same height as the other branches then the autoflowering cannabis plant will start to send those auxins at every shoot that is closest to the light source and they will start growing faster. You can use low stress training indoors and outdoors and it will definitely increase your yield no matter what environment you are growing autoflowering ganja in. Autoflower LST is better indoors as it increases yield and maximizes space but outdoors growers usually have unlimited space so the only thing is that with low stress training more buds will get maximum light and you will have even canopy not just on big main cola and a bunch of small ones.

They can LST their plants from the beginning with a mindset of maximizing yield and their grow area. This method is usually performed by growers who have grown a crop or two and know that LST can help their overall yield and they can get more bud from one plant by performing LST rather than letting it grow how nature intended it. This planned low stress training can be done all the way from the plants start to the last weeks of flowering and also can be done at the time when the autoflower plant is growing fastest at the first weeks of flowering period.

At this stage an autofloer plant is usually more mature than it should be to perform LST most effectively, but you can still do it and it will still be helpful and can save you from increasing grow space or performing High stress training.

The only thing that is different at this stage is that the cannabis plant is mature and it will be difficult to train it as it is strong, hard to bend and usually inexperienced growers will force the plant too much and it can fold over or even break.

There can be many reasons why you should LST your cannabis plant and I will try to include as much as I can, but there may still be some left out reasons that I have not stumbled upon. Indica dominant autoflowers usually have very dense buds and some kind of LST is necessary to get more light to those dense buds.

If you have this problem you can put more light sources around the plant and then maybe LST will not be necessary for you. The overall yield of autoflowering plants can be increased a great deal when you perform Low stress training as more of your plants leafage will get light and will produce more food for the plant so it will grow faster and you will get much more buds that will be denser and the end yield will be considerably bigger.

Many autoflower growers has a limited vertical space where to grow their plants and with LST you can increase horizontal growth and get more yield not stressing your plants.Forums New posts Search forums. Temps are steady 83 lights on and 71 lights out. There are only two things i can think of that could be slowing them this much.

Any advice from anybody would be great. Thanks Bob. Here are some crappy pics. Also if im coming across as rude or lacking man ners in my post i am sorry, i have written this post 3 times and my damn pc keeps going back a page so im trying to thin it down to just info.

Stride Active Member. Wait so are there roots poking through the holes or not? I didnt understand that part. Also what size pots are they in? The more info the better. Any chance you could have a light leak?

Thread starter Kels59 Start date Dec 6, Kels59 Auto Warrior.

Curiosity from a relative newbie: Every strain hubby and I have grown a few at a time has had one or two plants that are seriously delayed in flowering or they stall between preflower and flower or they finally flower very late and they end up lanky and scraggly with very little yield.

What is the deal with that? Lesser genetics? Normal variation in phenotype? Doesn't seem like it would be nutritional or environmental since all the plants are raised same and not all of same strain do it, just a couple. Preparing soon to start our first mephistos and we only have 3 seeds of each strain we bought.

Thanks for any input. Proph Regenerative Organic Grower Staff member. AFN Global Moderator. AFN Gladiator. Some breeders test their genetics before releasing them. Locking in certain traits and stabilize the strain.

Some release them untested and the variations in growth patterns, stability ect. Prophetiko said:. Joined Jun 8, Messages 5, Reaction score 24, Points 0. I am an established grower hydro atleast and can sympathise, will be sticking to solid genetics in the future.
